Three months ago I thought my home page and portfolio was perfect example of my work, neat and impressive to other people. I’ve propably never been so wrong during my career. I realized I had to redesign my whole identity before even looking at new jobs or going freelance. I whiped the table and started fresh asking: Who am I? 3 days later the base was made and it’s ready to get bigger and better, hopefully. School’s out -its time for the shots!

Promoting yourself is propably the hardest thing to do in media industry (unless you have solid connections from the beginning). My makeover from student to professional was immediate and logic. If I’m applying to advertising agency, I have a product to sell. That’s me. Everything about me must be needed, desired and clever. References and work samples are important too, but I think it’s the way how you put it that matters. That’s how I look at other people. A media agency wants a team of kickass awesome and hilarious people, not someone who writes Arial on white paper and enjoys collecting marbles.

Thats why I started desining a poster. Like a movie poster or article about this cool enrepreneur who makes millions. It  presents me as the latest product of the Net Generation, innovative and free spirited speacialist in new media. The type of web native that companies are just starting to learn about. “Those people know social media, they communicate in new ways, they want everything for free and they question everything we tell them. We hate those bastards but we need them!” First thing I questioned was my education. I made my own product without any analysis or method. I’m a pro, that stuff should be integraded in me for now.. Will see if that works. There’s always the risk of become a stupid spoiled a-hole, which obviously I am not
